'Grand Old Lady Still "Ducky"'

On a recent business trip I spent two nights at The Peabody in Memphis. Completely updated with amenities expected of a five star hotel, The Peabody retains an aristocratic charm reminiscent of yesteryear. Spacious guestrooms, superb restaurants specializing in authentic Italian and French cuisines, replete with a thoughtfully selected, reasonably priced wine list, a sumptuous breakfast buffet, a great lobby bar serving after hours home made desserts, all highlighted our stay. Add the traditional morning and afternoon duck walks, and the genial heritage of the old south simply shines. Situated a few blocks from Blues City Ribs and BB King's, The Peabody's location permits easily wandering downtown to sample fabled bar-b-que and hear some local music.
