Wine Tasting in Grapes Lounge Learn the basics: how to taste, what is in the smell and the color, what is a varietals and how to identify them. Please note when you purchase a multi-day lift ticket of 3-days or longer you will receive one grace day on your ticket, meaning your ticket will be valid for one extra day in case you want to take a break between ski days. Welcome
to Banff with knowledgeable local staff to assist with everything from
maps to movies, directions dining options and more! Adaptable, proficient,
courteous and attentive, the Road West staff knows key venues in the
area for first hand information on outdoor and soft adventure activities,
sightseeing tours and services. The Road West hospitality desk will
be staffed to serve the needs of the Encore Symposiums attendees exclusively
on the following schedule: 
What can
you do outside when there’s four feet of snow? Strap on some snowshoes
and venture into the wilderness to discover a peaceful winter wonderland.
Snowshoes allow you to walk into the deep, deep snow and truly experience
the winter landscape. Only the sounds of your snowshoes treading along
the snow will be heard. Don’t forget your camera; this is a good
opportunity to see wildlife! Trained naturalists will accompany you
to provide instruction on snowshoeing and to share their knowledge about
the environment, flora and fauna. Snowshoeing will get you away from
the crowds and allow you to experience the magic of the mountains.

When it's
white, snowmobiling is wild! Feel the power and experience the rush
of flying over the powder snow...Equipped with a helmet, warm outerwear
and a powerful ski-doo - hit the trails and have the ride of your life!
Your adventure begins with a breathtaking drive into the Rocky Mountains
of British Columbia. Through Banff and Yoho National Parks, see frozen
waterfalls, glacier capped mountain peaks and take in the natural beauty
surrounding you. Tour into the backcountry where the snow is deep and
the trails are groomed for your adventure. Each guest can operate their
own Ski-doo and take in the breathtaking view of scenery and wildlife
along the way. A professional guide will accompany and instruct you
on your tour. 
Leave
civilization behind and learn to travel the way of our early settlers...by
dog sled! Bundle up and get set for the ride of your life! Out in front,
the dogs lean into their harnesses and bark with anticipation. You can
even try being the musher - lift your foot off the brake and yell, "Hike"
to set the dogs off running! Hear the sound of the sled gliding over
fresh snow as you are whisked along a forested trail and across a frozen
lake ringed by mountains. Afterwards, there will be plenty of time to
make friends with the dogs and take pictures to capture your exhilarating
ride across the snowy fields!
