This place was just awesome!! Fabulous rooms - especially ones with
the ocean view, great food at the hotel restaurant, really nice
pools and beach, wonderful staff. Nice and close to the Marina and
all of the best restaurants. Can't wait to go back someday!

Perfect
October 2007: A Trip Advisor Member
This was an amazing trip. The entire staff was amazing and made
you feel like family. When booking, keep in mind there is a huge
difference between the Westin Resort and Spa (the hotel) and the
Westin Regina (the timeshare). You will have a much better time,
as I did, staying at the Resort and Spa which is a hotel property.
The properties are physically connected, but it is a different experience.
The staff had wonderful suggestions on where to go, Barcelona Tapas
and Agave Grill were two of the best meals I've ever had in my entire
life.

"Spectacular Hotel in Puerto Vallarta!"
November 2005: A Trip Advisor Member
I chose Puerto Vallarta (my first trip there) based on its relative
inexpensiveness compared to Cancun. My experience at the Westin
was top notch, from the helpful greeter who met our taxi and guided
us to the front desk, to the almost too-informative front desk person,
bellboy and beach people. Obviously everyone wants a tip, but I'm
more than happy to tip when value is given, and I got a lot of value
at the Westin. The rooms are spacious with VERY comfortable beds
(the Westin trademarked "Heavenly" beds). The double-head
"Heavenly" shower is like being under a waterfall. Everything
was elegant and top of the line. I couldn't believe the price for
so much luxury and convenience. Big tip - get a room on the high
floors - you get a de facto spectacular view of the bay, pool area,
mountains, city and ocean all at once. The pool area is dazzling
with several (I think four) pools, a pool bar, and a beach bar.
I rented one of the private beach tents for a day, which comes with
comfortable padded chairs, complimentary towels and water and beverage
service all with literally waterfront views to enjoy a book or catch
a tan. The spa is also wonderful. High-speed, wireless internet
everywhere - including at the beach! The location is in the high-end
luxury resort area, Marina Vallarta, only about 6 minutes from the
airport and 15 minutes from the downtown area of shopping (a $6
taxi ride). I can't say enough about how great this hotel experience.

"We loved the Westin"
March, 2007
We had high expectations and I think it's safe to say they were
met.
1. The Westin is in a great location, within walking distance to
the Marina which is a fun place to go with some good restaurants.
There is also a convenient store across the street, making it perfect
to go get bottled water or other necessities.
2. The pools- they were very scenic and at least when we were there,
not overly crowded. Sure, plenty of people were at the pools, but
there are several choices, so it wasn't bad at all. As far as people
using towels to save a lounge chair, that's really not the Westin's
fault. It's a courtesy issue and I blame the people, not the property.
3. I thought the food was very good. The Westin had the best salsa
of any restaurant I visited.
4. The staff was very kind and child friendly. We had a 13 month
old with us and they went out of their way to say hello to him and
entertain him. It was great.
5. I thought the rooms were clean. They have cement floors, probably
due to the humidity issue with carpets, but that was fine. They
also kept the room cooler.

"Love the Westin and PV - Absolutely Awesome"
CA May 5, 2006
My husband and I went to the Westin April 21st for 8 days. I loved
the resort and was very impressed with PV. This is by far my favorite
place in Mexico. Our room was on the 11th floor and was very nice.
We had a great view. Loved the cement floors - so much better than
carpet! We never heard any noise from Nikki Beach. We actually ate
dinner at Nikki Beach 3 times - great food and it is so romantic.
One time we got a bed, ordered a bottle of wine (or two), and watched
an incredible sunset. The restaurants in PV are some of the best
I have ever been too. We rented a car and drove all over. We went
to some awesome beaches. We also went to Wal-Mart down the street
and stocked up on some essentials. The Marina area is awesome and
much bigger than expected. I can't wait to go back!
