- All activity departure times are definite, unless we call you before
your trip to advise you of a change. Please be in the lobby of the Eldorado
Hotel 10 minutes before the listed departure time. Your group will be
met by DSSF staff in the lobby of the Eldorado and escorted to your
departure point. Arrival times back to the hotel are approximate and
may vary according to your activity.
- Duration times include transfer time to and from the activity location.
- All prices are per person and are subject to a 7.9375% New Mexico
State Tax.

Tour with Lunch
Take a trip to the charming town of Taos. On the way to Taos see the enchanting
San Francisco de Assisi Church in Ranchos de Taos, made famous by many
artists including Georgia O'Keeffe. Next is Taos Pueblo framed by the
sacred Taos Mountains. Taos Pueblo has been designated a World Heritage
Site, indicating its world cultural importance. Taos Pueblo is on the
National Historic Register, and remains in its pristine, traditional state.
Head to Taos Plaza for time to shop before rejoining the group for lunch
at a superb Taos eatery. After lunch journey to the rustic Hispanic village
of Chimayo, in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Your first
stop will be at the charming Santuario de Chimayo, known as the "Lourdes
of the Southwest," so named because of the professed healing powers
contained in the earth in which a crucifix was discovered, and subsequently
became the site where the Santuario was built.
Price includes transportation, guide, entrance fees, lunch (entrée,
dessert, non-alcoholic beverages), bottled water on board, donations to
churches and driver and guide gratuities.

Golf at Towa Golf Resort
New Mexico's
newest golf course, which opened in September 2001, is located approximately
15 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza. The 7,068-yard, par 72 course showcases
championship golf with the serenity of the desert and breathtaking views.
Pricing includes green fees, full use of the practice facility, golf
cart with GPS satellite yardage, and transportation to and from the course.
We can arrange to have your charges at the course, such as rental clubs,
merchandise, food and beverage purchases charged to your room.

Bandelier & Bradbury Science Museum
Travel to Bandelier
National Monument where you'll descend into a canyon filled with the ruins
of the Anasazi Indians, colloquially "the Ancient Ones." Located
on the Pajarito Plateau of the Jemez Mountains, Bandelier was the home
of the Anasazi from the eleventh to fourteenth centuries. Excavated over
90 years ago, these ruins were once home to over 200 people, ancestors
of today's Pueblo Indians. You may walk along easy paths past the remains
of ancient Pueblo dwellings to the cliff dwellings where you can climb
ladders to peer inside.
Price includes transportation, entry to monument, lunch at local New
Mexican Restaurant (entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages),

Fly Fishing
Discover the
thrill of casting to rising trout in a mountain stream or lake. A professional
guide will lead you to a pristine site for a fishing adventure, and will
take the mystery out of the art of fly-fishing. Both the novice and the
advanced angler will enjoy the beauty and peacefulness that surrounds
them in northern New Mexico.
Pricing includes transportation, river guide(s), gear

One of America's
most popular adventures, whitewater rafting, is becoming a tradition for
visitors to Northern New Mexico. The rafting season begins with the snowmelt
in spring and generally lasts through October. All levels of rafters,
from the novice to the expert will enjoy this adventure along the Rio
Grande. Along the valley floor, you will experience spectacular scenery,
with a full range of whitewater on the "Racecourse" south of
Taos. Due to safety regulations, no one under the age of seven years old
or in excess of 230 pounds will be permitted to participate in this event.
Waterproof suits and helmets can be provided upon request. Price includes equipment, guide, private transportation
to and from the drop point, cooler with bottled water, boxed lunch, and

Do you love
chile? Are you curious but unfamiliar? Our Chile Amor class will delight
those already familiar with New Mexico's official state vegetable and
light the fires of passion for those yet uninitiated. Here in the Land
of Enchantment, chile is more than an ingredient; it is the embodiment
of a diverse and rich cultural heritage and a distinct Southwestern lifestyle.
Participants will explore chile's unique culinary and medicinal qualities,
learn to identify different varieties, and discover how to handle them
safely and efficiently in the kitchen. After the introduction we'll don
aprons and prepare red and green chile sauces and homemade tortillas to
taste! This is a hands-on class. Price includes recipes, instruction and tastings.

We offer
the best horseback riding available in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We ride through
the scenic hills and high desert ranch from the historic mining town of
Cerrillos, New Mexico. Rides include spectacular 360 views of all area
mountain ranges. Trips can include the Madrid Overlook, La Bajada Overlook,
Devil's Canyon, Crooked Hat Canyon, Elkins Canyon, Cash Entry Mine, Grand
Central Silver Mine, Franklin Ridge and Miner's Trail. Riders of all skill
levels will appreciate our smooth riding gaited horses. All of our horses
are registered Missouri Foxtrotters and Tennessee Walkers. Able riders

Travel north
through the Rio Grande Valley into the Chama River Valley area, northwest

village of Abiquiu and the home of Georgia O'Keeffe to learn about her

at The Santa Fe School of Cooking for a walking tour of some downtown
restaurants to gain an understanding of the different cultural influences
happening in the foods of Santa Fe. One of our fabulous chef/instructors

mix of old and new, traditional and contemporary influences in the food.
The tour will begin at the School where you will discuss the traditional
NM influence and taste it for yourself. Then you are off to some of the
best restaurants in town to learn (and taste!) more. We look forward to

New Mexico
is the place for Margaritas, and with this lesson you will learn about
Tequila, which is the basis for any great Margarita. Your instructor literally
wrote the book on Tequila and will introduce you to the history of Tequila
and how it is used today by allowing you to sample their selections. Afterwards,

$110 Tsankawi Exploration
Tsankawi is
part of Bandelier National Monument, but is undeveloped and unexcavated.
The trail follows centuries-old paths through the area where the ancestral
Pueblo people lived. Imagine the people tending their gardens and going
about their daily lives surrounded by the expansive vistas of what are
now known as the Jemez Mountains, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and
valleys resulting from the Rio Grand rift. The 1.5-mile trail through
Tsankawi takes you along centuries-old paths of the ancestral Pueblo people.
In many areas, the trails have been worn into the rock 8 to 24 inches
or more as the people traveled from the mesa tops to their farms in the
canyons below. Price includes transportation, boxed lunch on board, professional
guide, and entrance fees.
