Richard Haas, PhD, CRNA

Rich is a Program Director and Adjunct Associate Professor at York College / WellSpan Health Nurse Anesthetist Program. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a PhD in educational research and measurement, and the US Army Nursing Anesthesia Program. A retired Lieutenant Colonel from the US Army Reserve, Rich's hobbies are working out, reading, philosophy, theology and martial arts.

Rich was on the Board of Directors of the GANA, was the 1999 AANA Research Scholar of the year, and received the Palmer Carrier Scholarship for doctoral work, In 1976, he won the Charles Stoner Award for Valor from the Reading (Pennsylvania) Fire Department. Rich has written a number of journal publications and book chapters. He has a lovely and charming wife (Jackie) and 2 great kids and 1 great kid-in-law (Kristen, Katie and Brian, in order), 2 dogs (Bear, the main dog, and Shadow, the small auxiliary dog) and 2 cats (M&M the old man, and Chester, the young upstart).
