Jeffrey F. Kopecky, CRNA, MEd

Jeff graduated from Sacred Heart Gonzaga Anesthesia program in 1987. Prior to that he worked as a flight nurse in Spokane WA. Jeff started his health care career as a medic in the US Army at age 17 and has climbed the ladder as an LPN and RN. After graduating from Gonzaga, Jeff practiced briefly at Sacred Heart, and then was recruited to a unique position where he provided locums relief while being based at a suburban hospital. He provided relief in at over 20 different sites in WA, OR, ID and MT. He served as the Chief CRNA for six years at Valley Hospital and Medical Center in Spokane.

Jeff is self-employed and works in Hood River OR at a critical access hospital. He has published two journal articles and coauthored a chapter in an anesthesia textbook. Jeff has held positions on the board of directors in Washington and Oregon. These include The President of the Oregon association and vice president and treasurer of the Washington Association. He has been a member of the AANA Practice and Administrative Management committees. He is committed to continuing education for his profession. He has planned and coordinated two Tri-State anesthesia meetings and 10 Oregon State meetings. He has spoken at numerous programs for CRNA's and other health care providers.

Jeff lives in Hood River with his wife and two sons. He enjoys nearly every outdoor activity including golf, tennis, hunting, and fishing, horseback riding, and supporting his sons in their many sports. His favorite" rides" are his 1999 Ford F350 Dually Diesel, a Kubota tractor, and a Tennessee Walking horse named "Kingpin".
