Southwest Shopping Extravaganza – from elegant galleries to bargain shopping in Mexico! The day will begin with a continental breakfast at the renown El Presidio Gallery offering a diverse collection of art featuring some of the most exciting and accomplished artists in the country. The 6,000 square-foot gallery in the “Gallery Row at El Cortigo” offers a wide variety of subjects and styles, making El Presidio Gallery of interest to collectors of all levels. On your way to historic Tubac, a tiny community filled with dozens of artists’ galleries and shops, we will stop and tour the Mission San Xavier del Bac. Often called “The White Dove of the Desert” the mission was established in the 17th century by Spanish missionaries. The 200-year old structure is recognized as one of the finest examples of mission architecture in the country! We’ll have lunch and then you can choose to spend the remainder of the day shopping in Tubac or proceed onto Nogales, Mexico, a must see on your trip through the beautiful and exciting Santa Cruz Country!

Desert Encounters! - Away from the crowds, paved roads, and hotel pampering, you will experience the wonders of the Sonoran Desert in a four wheel drive guided jeep adventure. See an amazing variety of cacti, including the giant Saguaro. Learn about the desert’s unique flora and fauna from an experienced guide. Then it’s off to the “all in one place” world-renowned zoo, natural history museum, and botanical garden... The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum! For a half century the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum has enchanted millions of visitors with its exhibits of live animals in astonishingly natural settings.
