It seemed the stars were aligned just right as the Sedona Symposium began. An air of excitement filled the room at the welcome reception as attendees anticipated the activities in the days to come. Guests entered a grand room to start the evening with imported cheeses and lighter faire under a canopy of stars. After introductory chatter the gathering moved onto the Creek House deck to feast on the hearty steamship roast and turkey carvings. The creek side terrace was abound with twinkling lights, and a pasta selection that garnered rave reviews. It was quite fitting that the reception was spent under the evening sky stargazing with Astronomer, Dennis Young. The festive mood kicked off a successful, sold out symposium featuring a great line up of speakers including Chuck Reese, CRNA, Ph.D., Michael Rieker, CRNA, DNP, and Kathleen Wren, CRNA, Ph.D. One of the highlights of this destination was the local cowboys and steak barbecue at the ranch style rendezvous. Taking in the breathtaking scenery on horseback or on the sunset jeep tour was an experience I will certainly give thanks for over the upcoming holidays. As the holiday season settles in, it is time to make your lists and check them twice! Do you have registering for an Encore Symposium on your list? They promise to be worthy of putting at the top.
