Elizabeth Monti Seibert, PhD, CRNA

Is an associate professor at Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Nurse Anesthesia where she is currently developing the curriculum for a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice. Previously Mrs. Seibert has served in administrative positions at the Medical College of Georgia Anesthesia Nursing Program and University of Pittsburgh Nurse Anesthesia Program. Mrs. Seibert is a doctoral candidate at the University of South Carolina College of Nursing. Her research interests include patient safety, organizational aspects of anesthesia practice, and rural nurse anesthesia practice. She has published several book chapters and articles on a variety of topics in anesthesia and nursing and has served on the AANA Foundation and AANA Education Committee.

When not working on her dissertation, Liz is interested in gardening, cycling, traveling, and reading, especially the mystery genre. She (and her husband, Dave) are eagerly looking forward to her graduation in June so they can resume some of their favorite activities.
