Kathleen R. Wren, Ph.D., C.R.N.A.

Kathleen R. Wren, CRNA, PhD, is Professor and Chair of the Nurse Anesthesia Department Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences and past program director of the Louisiana State University nurse anesthesia program in New Orleans. Following in the foot steps of her mother, she became a nurse anesthetist in 1984, graduating from Rush University. Since that time, she has practiced in a variety types of anesthesia care settings to include independent practice within her own CRNA partnership business. Kathy completed her doctoral preparation in Adult Education at the University of Nebraska in 1998. Most recently, she maintains an active CRNA practice at Florida Hospital and area facilities in addition to free lance assignments. Her avocations include traveling, traveling and more traveling. She also enjoys reading and surrogate grandparenting-dreaming of the time when she will be full fledged mimi in her own right.
