The Coast of Maine

Acadia National Park and the city of Bar Harbor, on Mt. Desert Island, have a long and storied history as vacation getaways. On the coast of Maine, Acadia encompasses 47,633 acres of granite-domed mountains, woodlands, lakes and ponds, and ocean shoreline.
