LIVE Encore Virtual Conference

As we continue to navigate through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in support of our CRNAs during National CRNA Week, Encore Symposiums is offering a FREE two-hour virtual COVID-19 update on Saturday, January 30th. Encore Symposiums is proud to share the expertise of Kevin Driscoll, DNP, MSN, CRNA, in a live virtual two-hour conference in the comfort of your own home during convenient weekend hours.

Kevin Driscoll is a Staff Anesthetist at the NIH (National Institutes of Health)*, Clinical Center, Building 10. This is the world’s largest research-only dedicated hospital where they take on medically complex cases to gain greater insights into future diagnosing, treating, and curing patients. The NIH has played a pivotal role in both the COVID vaccine development and federal recommendations for response. Prior to that, he was at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where he helped lead the first Collaborative Unit-Based Safety Program in the Department of Surgery and co-chaired a Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Community. He received his DNP from Yale University, where his focus was on the geo-spatial analysis of the positive correlates for veteran suicide in the post-9/11 veteran communities. Kevin currently serves as the President of the NBCRNA (National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

COVID-19 is a rapidly evolving disease that has caught the healthcare community by surprise. Traditional forms of learning about a disease, such as textbooks and journal articles, are lagging and have been replaced with up-to-date, real-time briefings to outline the current state of the science. A clear understanding of the History, Virology, Epidemiology, Physiology, and Pharmacology are critical to both the management as well as treatment of COVID patients. The global awareness of these concepts guides all recommendations and provides healthcare professionals with critical knowledge to fill in the gaps where recommendations may lack to ensure that providers and patients remain safe. This series will provide the background to Coronaviruses and highlight some major advances that are unfolding in real-time.

*Kevin Driscoll is providing his insights in a personal capacity and not part of his role as a federal employee.

The Registration was limited to 200 CRNAs. Due to an unprecedented response, Encore extended the number of attendees to 290. Once the registration limit has been reached, you will have the option to be placed on the "Wait List" for a future session. The introductory session will be held Saturday, January 30th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. EST.

Additional repeat sessions are scheduled for a nominal fee on the following dates:

Testimonials from 2020 Encore Virtual Conferences

  • I attended the Sedona/November 2020 "Live Virtual Conference". This particular conference was made completely virtual due to Covid. This was a very wise and much-appreciated decision on Encore's part given the times we are living in. While I was disappointed, I did not have the opportunity to interact with CRNA peers from all over the country, I applaud Encore for making the transition to virtual nearly seamless... read more.
  • I recently attended a webinar conference, held with Zoom, presented by Encore Symposium on October 19-22 2020. The expertise of their presenters was stellar. All were CRNAs with their DNP. One presenter was from the NIH and gave excellent information on COVID-19 history, pathophysiology, and management... read more.
  • I can not thank you and Encore enough for taking on this webinar. It went off seamlessly. The topics and speakers are leaders in nurse anesthesia and it was dynamic and informative. - Gayle R, DNP, CRNA - Savannah, GA
