For the Diagnostic Detective portions of the symposium, we'll employ a Sherlock Holmes short story and an anesthesia case study to examine a novel approach to clinical decision-making in anesthesia practice. Cape Neddick is a peninsula in the town of York, Maine which consists of two beaches located on both sides of Cape Neddick. The beautiful northern seaside village of Ogunquit lies two miles north of the resort and historical York is just south.

Ogunquit offers a three-mile stretch of white sandy beach, the Marginal Way cliff walk, a 1 ¼ footpath along the ocean’s edge, and the quaint harbor of Perkin’s Cove.
