Reed Halterman, DNP, CRNA, FAANA
Reed Halterman, DNP, CRNA, FAANA, is an Associate Professor, Assistant Program Director, and Clinical Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. Prior to joining academia, he served as Assistant Chief CRNA at Augusta University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
Dr. Halterman earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nurse Anesthesia from Georgia Regents University and his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of North Florida. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) Education Committee and will assume the role of Chair in 2026. He previously served on the Georgia Association of Nurse Anesthesiology Board of Directors for seven years, including service as President.
Dr. Halterman is a frequent speaker at state and national meetings and has presented on a variety of topics, including regional anesthesia, airway management, patient safety, quality improvement, chronic pain, and anesthesia education.
