Woods Hole Science Museum is a public aquarium that displays approximately 140 species of marine animals found in Northeast and Middle Atlantic waters. Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted.

Features animals of the Northeast and Middle Atlantic waters, and touch tanks where you may find lobsters, tautogs, quahogs, horseshoe crabs, spider crabs, sea stars (starfish), and hermit crabs. NOTE: We have no seals in residence at this time.

Cape Cod - Bike Province Lands Trail

This hilly loop starts from Province Lands Visitor Center in Provincetown. The route is 5.25 miles long. But with the trail extensions to Herring Cove Beach, Race Point Beach, and Bennett Pond, two more miles can be added to your distance. Riding the trail is a great way to tour the vast dune system in the Province Lands area, as well as its shady Beech Forest, one of the few places within the tract with extensive tree cover.

The station is part of American History. During World War I, General Pershing in France communicated with the US Government through this cable station.

In 1927 the message that Charles Lindbergh had landed in Paris came through this station from Paris. It was then sent to the rest of the United States.

Free guided tours are available of a historic collection of original Atlantic undersea telegraphic cables, instruments, maps, and assorted memorabilia.

Monomoy Island National Wildlife Refuge is a federal wildlife refuge located on Monomoy Island in Massachusetts. It was taken over by the US government just before World War II.

This is a wonderful place to walk and learn about Monomoy refuge. There is a small visitor's center with children's activities and an opportunity to learn about the seals and wildlife.

Their offseason hours are M-F 10am-2pm contingent on volunteer availability. They have five threatened or endangered species, largest grey seal haul-out in the US and historic Monomoy Lighthouse.

The Cape Cod Rail Trail follows a former railroad right-of-way for 22 miles through the towns of Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet. Its paved surface, few hills, and well-marked automobile crossings make it ideal for cyclists. The trail has a wide unpaved shoulder on one side to accommodate horseback riding, walkers, and runners.

The 30-foot Scargo Tower is the highest location on the mid-Cape and sits atop the 160-foot tall Scargo Hill in Dennis. Indian legends tell of the making of both Scargo Hill and Scargo Lake. Views may be seen of the entire lower cape to Provincetown, and as far west as Plymouth.
